About Glasgow Bike Tours
The shoogly story that led to Glasgow’s first bike tour company
Glasgow Bike Tours was founded by Keith back in April 2016. Keith grew up in the city and spent most of his life cycling around Glasgow, trying to get to any destination whilst avoiding the noise and pollution of busy roads. This allowed him to gradually learn the city’s myriad of bike-friendly waterways, towpaths, and cycle routes, building up an intricate cyclist’s map of Glasgow.
Keith found that friends visiting from other places really enjoyed seeing the sights of Glasgow by bike, as they could see all the tourist attractions and hidden gems while staying away from crowded tour buses, and large walking tour groups. Keith realised that cycling tours were the best of both worlds and one of the best ways to explore Glasgow – both for visitors on holiday and for locals wanting to see their city from a new perspective.
It became apparent that a dedicated cycling tour company in Glasgow would be a fantastic fit and Glasgow Bike Tours got into first gear. Keith developed our range of bike tours to serve as a great alternative thing for tourists and locals to do in Glasgow. Guests have come to us, cycled through Glasgow with our guides and got to know the city – many have even left us 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor afterwards.
Now, 3 years later, Glasgow Bike Tours has trained and recruited several top cycling tour guides and grown as a business. A lot of our success is due to the city itself, and for that we are truly thankful. Everyone here at Glasgow Bike Tours loves Glasgow and whatever you do during your visit, we hope you’ll love it too. If you have any questions for us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
